About BWW

Bicycle Wagga Wagga Inc. (BWW) is a group of cyclists who enjoy cycling as a social activity and want to promote cycling as a safe and responsible mode of transport. The group formed in 1997 and has continued since then to provide riding opportunities as well as fostering the advancement of cycling.

BWW was involved in the development of the Wagga Wagga Bicycle Plan and continues to work with Wagga Wagga City Council for the development, construction and maintenance of bicycle facilities in the city.

Rides

BWW organise regular weekly casual rides around Wagga Wagga designed to suit cyclists of all abilities, including families.

Additionally a Fat Tyred Ride is generally held on the first Sunday of the month. This is a ride along some of the tracks and trails around the city away from road traffic where using bikes with fatter tyres is the go.

A Long Ride is held generally on the second Sunday of the month. This is a road ride of about 100km.

In addition BWW has a number of weekend rides throughout the year based in or from Wagga Wagga or further afield just for a change of scenery.

Safe Cycling

BWW promotes safe cycling.

BWW has conducted safety campaigns and participated in initiatives in conjunction with Wagga Wagga City Council, state government organisations, Committee 4 Wagga and other cycling clubs in Wagga Wagga.

Other Activities

Club events involving maintenance of your bike, touring information, Club Nights and Social Evenings are organised for the benefit of members and other interested people.
