Q - When are your regular rides?A - See the
Regular Rides page.
Q - Do I have to be a very good rider to go on BWW rides?A - Some BWW rides require a certain level of fitness but the majority are rides that you can ride at a pace that you’re comfortable with.
Q - Do I have to have a flash bike?A - Any roadworthy bike will do the job generally. BWW do hold some off-road rides that may require a mountain bike or a bike with fatter tyres. On other rides a road bike with skinny tyres is more appropriate. However, you don’t have to have the latest and greatest bike.
Q - Do I have to wear those tight fitting cycle knicks and shirts?A - No, you don’t have to. However, you may find that if you did you would be more comfortable and would consequently enjoy your cycling more. Cycle knicks have a padded section that is designed to absorb perspiration and the tight fit minimises chaffing. Once you get used to them you will wonder how you ever put up without them. The cycle shirts, or jerseys as they’re known, generally have pockets at the back for you to carry stuff. The closer fit also has an aerodynamic effect and the fabrics wick sweat away from the body. A lot of the cycle clothing is very colourful which helps other road users notice you increasing your safety level.
Q - Do I have to be a member of BWW to go on BWW’s rides?A - You don’t have to be a member but membership is not expensive. We would encourage you to join and that way get the benefits of the regular updates as well as discounts on parts and accessories at the two specialist bike shops in Wagga Wagga.
You will need to access the QR code from the Ride Leader and fill in, online, the Temporary Membership form before each ride.Q - How do I join BWW?A - Go to the
