About BWW

Bicycle Wagga Wagga Inc. (BWW) is a group of cyclists who enjoy cycling as a social activity and want to promote cycling as a safe and responsible mode of transport. The group formed in 1997 and has continued since then to provide riding opportunities as well as fostering the advancement of cycling.

BWW was involved in the development of the Wagga Wagga Bicycle Plan and continues to lobby Wagga Wagga City Council for the development, construction and maintenance of bicycle facilities in the city.

Rides

BWW organise regular weekly casual rides around Wagga Wagga designed to suit cyclists of all abilities, including families.

In addition BWW have a series of weekend rides through out the year based in or from Wagga Wagga or further afield just for a change of scenery. Please see the Rides page for further information.

Safe Cycling

BWW promotes safe cycling through consultation with the Wagga Wagga City Council and the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority. Safety campaigns have been conducted the most notable of which has been the Be Safe! Be Smart! Be Seen! campaign encouraging cyclists to increase their on-road visibility by choosing to use light coloured clothing and reflective materials.

Other Activities

Club events involving maintenance of your bike, touring information, Club Nights and Social Evenings are organised for the benefit of members and other interested people.

Incorporation

Bicycle Wagga Wagga Inc. became an incorporated body under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 in August 2010.
